Her dream is to see economic and environmental transformation of these communities, with high poverty levels.
Miswaleh Zingizi & Mwamlole Warrakah come from led to a poverty-stricken village where all this dream began, after meeting a group of women and girls working hard to remove cashew from its kennels. What they noticed from the women is that they did not understand the real value of the product they were preparing for sale to middlemen in North Coast Kenya, about 28 Kilometers away from their village. With this discovery, the duo knew that urgent interventions were required, in a community where half of the population is semi-illiterate and experiencing economic challenges from historical injustices. And this led to the birth of Kaya Nuts.
