My name is Catherine Mucheru the Founder and CEO of UrbanHortipro Kenya Limited. I have been an entrepreneur for the past 20 years also running a travel agency and a furniture store. I have now opened another business in Agribusiness to Export Coffee and Tea to the US market. We saw an opportunity of a ready market in the US which will further assist our community and encourage them to continue growing coffee because Kenyan coffee is well sought after because of the rich taste that it gives. I am aggressive in an industry that is male dominated and am ready to take on the challenge and transform our community by taking good care of our farmers both financially and upgrading amenities and facilities of our community. Urbanhortipro is women owned, and my main aim is to empower more women by giving them jobs and empower the youth to also earn an income in the agri business sector. We work with mainly the less privileged and this has given hope to many in the local community.
