Woodlands co.ltd was formed in Yr. 2014 by Director Beatrice Muema to produce and distribute pure natural honey to Kenyan supermarkets, wholesalers and retailers. Woodlands company is a limited liability company which is involved in 3 major income generating areas; making Langstroth bee hives, bee farming in large scale and honey valued addition i.e packaging and distribution to Kenyan markets. The company also trains local farmers in Kitui, Machakos and Kajiado counties in bee farming. The company has seen tremendous growth over the years and prides itself in its quality and competitiveness, thus has over the years gained a sizeable market share in the country. The company is partnered with farmers and trains them in modern beekeeping methods, which have improved quality and quantity and buys the produce from farmers for value addition and distribution.
The company is experiencing a positive trajectory in its growth curve, due to increased demand for our honey and honey products. To this end, the company is planning to increase production by doing large scale bee farming, one of its kind in Kenya. To create more revenue streams, this will also be a training Centre for aspiring bee farmers, individuals, sponsored by governments, NGOs etc. This will enable the company to achieve its long-term objective of penetrating into the export market due to high production and meeting all the standards required for export.
