Norah Njeri Ongwenyi is a dynamic entrepreneur, seasoned banker, and certified mediator with over 15
years of professional experience. She is the Founder and Director of Ebony Drycleaners Limited, a
leading cleaning services company specializing in dry cleaning and window blind cleaning for homes
and offices across Kenya. Ebony Blinds, a division of Ebony Drycleaners, delivers fast, high-quality, and
cost-effective blind cleaning solutions, expanding the company’s reach in the home and office services
industry.
With a background in banking, where she worked from 2005 to 2014, Norah transitioned to
entrepreneurship in 2014 and has since grown Ebony Drycleaners into a trusted brand in the cleaning
services industry. In addition to her role as an entrepreneur, she is a court-annexed and private mediator,
a mediation tutor, and a conflict resolution expert, offering her expertise to resolve disputes effectively.
Her commitment to peacebuilding and mentorship has made her a sought-after trainer for mediators in
Kenya.
Norah holds a Bachelor of Business Management (B.B.M) in Accounting from Moi University and a
Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) in International Business Management from the University of
Nairobi. She has further honed her entrepreneurship skills through prestigious programs like the Tony
Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Program (2021), the ABSA SHE Star Program (2023), and the
USAID KIM Investor Readiness Program (2023).
Her dedication extends beyond her business ventures, as she volunteered with Women for Cancer from
2016 to 2021, demonstrating her passion for social impact and community service. As a Tony Elumelu
