Lillian Moraa is an educator and visionary leader with over two decades of teaching experience. Her
dedication to education and her commitment to the holistic development of learners have been
demonstrated through her career. Throughout her professional journey, Lillian has shown a profound
passion for bridging the intellectual gap within society through her teaching and community-driven
initiatives.
Lillian holds a Bachelor of Education degree in Early Childhood from Mt. Kenya University and a Primary
School Teacher’s Certificate from Kamagambo Adventist Teachers’ College. She began her teaching
career at Got Onywongo Primary School in Kisumu County before transitioning to Jogoo Road Primary
School in Nairobi. During her time as a public primary school teacher, she was involved in numerous
academic initiatives that sought to elevate the learning standards of her pupils.
In 2015, drawing on her great experience and desire to make an even greater impact, Lillian took the bold
step of establishing Silver Oak Educational Complex in Joska, Machakos County. Her decision to venture
into the private education sector stemmed from a longstanding vision to provide a more impactful
educational experience. She believed that, as an educator, she could achieve greater outcomes by
fostering a more personalized learning environment.
Silveroak Educational Complex is a premier educational institution located in Joska, Machakos County.
The school was established in 2015 and is dedicated to nurturing young minds and providing a holistic
education that prepares students for future academic and life challenges. The school’s commitment lies
in creating a learning environment that is safe, inclusive, and conducive to the all-round development of
every child. The school offers playgroup, kindergarten, primary school and junior high school education
to its learners. Currently, the school serves over 200 students from diverse backgrounds, offering a
well-rounded curriculum that balances academic excellence with extracurricular activities, including
sports, arts, and culture.
